ADVOCACY:
END RACISM & DISCRIMINATION
Hold ourselves and the community accountable by measuring the impact of racism and its social, emotional, and spiritual repercussions.
Examine local policies and practices to ensure that people of all races and economic status are fully able to participate and remain in Natick so that we are all enriched by people of different cultures and backgrounds.
Connect residents, businesses, and town officials to mechanisms for reporting incidents of hate, provide resources and best practices for protection, and provide mechanisms for self-advocacy and the advocacy of others.
EDUCATION:
TRAIN THE COMMUNITY
Conduct training for Leadership Team & Founding Members.
Support or co-sponsor training and educational events by other organizations.
Promote messages of valuing differences via blogs, stories, external communications to influence town culture.
CONVERSATION:
GENERATE DIALOGUE
Facilitate honest dialogue about racism and bigotry to create trust, understanding, and connection within the Leadership Team & Founding Members.
Support or co-sponsor forums for dialogue about racism and bigotry in the community by other organizations.
Promote the value of having brave conversations in the community about racism and bigotry.
Amplify the voices of the community and share these dialogues with local, non-partisan government officials, clergy and laity of all faiths, civic and private organizations, schools and community based organizations.
CELEBRATION:
CONNECT THE COMMUNITY
Engage in and create events and opportunities for positive celebration of the shared humanity of all people, which fosters proactive connection and community.
