We meet to share knowledge about actions one can/did take (alone or with a group), to share experience and get support with doing actions, and learn skills for taking actions. We come together to focus on taking action now to make systemic changes for racial justice.
We will have guest speakers join us to teach us things, ie. what we need to know when doing non-violent actions. We will learn about court watching and restorative justice, and more. We will join other groups protesting racial injustice, and organize some of our own.
After our first meeting on 3/28, we will meet regularly on the third Saturday of each month (next is 4/18, the timing can be different). So plan your activities around this and join us. Now is the time to act for change!
All are welcome.
We'll grow a list with current action plans, groups to join, podcasts that inform us about actions we can take, groups doing great work already that we can engage with...here is a start:

Nate Woods (pictured) was executed/lynched 3/5/20 in Alabama. He was innocent, just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Along with many other folks, I made a few actions to help stop his execution, but it wasn't enough. This is my motivation for starting a monthly Knapsack meeting with a focus on taking action. This is a Boston Knapsack Anti-Racism Group.
